INRAE Virtual reality for studying food behaviors

For the past few years, we have been working with the IHAC AgroParisTech/INRAE team (National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment) at Paris Saclay. Among their missions, the team is interested in the interactions between humans and food.

We have developed a fully equipped project with them to allow the creation of new virtual reality consumption experiences autonomously. They can recreate consumption conditions close to reality to better understand consumer behaviors.

During the experience, participants are offered foods in a controlled context, which they can observe, taste, and evaluate. Manipulations are done directly with the hands, and the questionnaires they respond to are automatically generated and processed.
